Have you see The Kids are All Right?  You should.  It was hilarious.

Met up with some friends (including the lovely Alla) on Sunday to see Inception, which was sold out all night, so we saw this instead (this worked for me since Inception was Chris’ pick and this was mine…).  

Besides my love for both Julianne Moore and Annette Benning, The Kids are All Right is a great story about family.  Yes, this particular family has two moms and a sort of dad, but the issues and messages and jokes could apply to anyone.  The movie is so funny, even after I’d read reviews of some of the obviously hilarious parts.  Chris and I sort of rolled our eyes at first because we both though “Oh God, this is us,” but then twenty minutes later the roles changed (you can use your imagination to decide which one of us is like which one of them).  The point is, I guess, is that we could very easily relate to this couple.  highly recommended.

Just got back from Ely, MN.  Spent the weekend at a family friend’s house, and did this to her propane tank (birthday present).  Also canoed, etc.

had so much fun tonight [and I met Chris!]. But now it’s 11pm on a Friday and I’m off to bed

We all know my friend Adrienne (aka halloblahblah) is a great illustrator. So here is a great painting of the car that was rear-ended by a 2-story car carrier. On an LA freeway. While I was driving. I hope the colors appropriately convey our mood….

Hung out with Christy in NYC this weekend (good good times times)…  This is a portrait I painted of her car that sacrificed itself to save us (plus Alla) in LA over spring break.  We can be nostalgic now that she has a Prius.  In conclusion, MISS YOU GUYS.

I am very fortunate, happy, and blessed to have a fantastic support structure here in Tucson. Also, my friends are straight-up hilarious.

Here is me with some ‘old’ people - we’re all seniors and have all been friends since we were confused little freshmen looking to become involved in our dorms. We were the oldest undergrads at our banquet thursday. Among us:

• one is currently a hall director
• one is going to law school
• one is going to be a graduate hall director next year
• one is going into the Peace Corps
• one is IACURH director
• one has no idea what they’re doing after May 15th…
