A “celebratory” breakfast

This morning I found out I’m not going to be interning in DC (as I had previously hoped) due to some super awesome government bureaucratic foot-dragging. I was super bummed - but then proceeded to weigh myself and and saw that for the first time since high school, I weighed LESS than my (new, horizontal) diver’s license. So to celebrate and make myself feel better. Here is my breakfast:

• HUGE toasted bagel - one side whipped cream cheese, one side nutella
• HUGE cup of coffee
• strawberries

good nutritional decisions? I think so…

Why Today is AWESOME

• I woke up to a call from the HR people at the agency for which I want to work this summer. And, despite having a pretty ridiculous interview, I GOT THE INTERNSHIP! holla. DC NE Side!!!
• I don’t feel tired, despite staying up till 2 doing homework
• For the first time in the 08-09 school year, I am completely and totally on top of my classes
• Sedona this weekend
• Free Cupcakes at my 5pm meeting
• Going to dinner with my RA staff to Zemam’s (an amazing Ethiopian place)
• The Lady Ga Ga and Mika CDs continue to be off the chain
• I’m enrolled in 3 more credit hours than I was yesterday, which means I might drop a class
• A male friend of mine emailed me to borrow my hot pink spandex leotard… which is freaking awesome in its own right. Can’t wait to see what he does with it.
• It’s 80 degrees outside and I’m gonna go tanning after class :-)

Today I was conditionally accepted for an internship. It’s in Maryland, for the government,… and a much bigger deal than the last one. Everything is contingent on me not skewing anything up in the next few months. I’m so scared I don’t even know what to do.
