Fashion Night DC - September 10th - Georgetown
What is it? is an unprecedented global initiative created to celebrate fashion, restore consumer confidence, boost the industry’s economy, and put the fun back in shopping! (aka: a great excuse to dress up on a weeknight and go shopping)
Why should you go? Over 60 vendors in the Georgetown area are doing specials or dining deals for the night (from 6-11pm). Also, you get to dress up to go shopping after work. Everyone wins.

Early August Update of My Life (By the Numbers)
- 2 number of jobs I currently hold (an increase of 1 since last month)
- 5 pairs of shoes I have purchased since moving to DC
- 100% amount of said shoes that are totally office/work appropriate
- 1 baseball game attended
- 1 drum corps show attended
- 0 Wells Fargo Banks or ATMs within a 30 mile radius from me. I’m livid!
- 15 + letters mailed to friends across America
- 4 social media/blogging networking events attended thus far
- 24 hangers purchased
- 10 + new recipes learned thus far
- 1 huuuuge life decision to not attend/defer law school
- 5 books read since obtaining a DC library card
- 6 Foursquare badges earned this summer
- 0 idea of when State Dept training may start
and that’s kind of a short snapshot into my life! Hope that paints somewhat diverse picture of what I’ve been up to this summer

I’ve been in loooove with Michael Kors watches for about a year now. When in Vegas over spring break, I found them at the outlet for around $200 - but really couldn’t justify spending so much money on a peice of jewelry when I made $6.75/hour at my desk job and $0/hr as an RA. So this is just a general plea - putting it out there for the internets - I LOVE THIS WATCH (also the turtouiseshell version) (via noraleah and this is the link)
sneak peek: my graduation dress! I wore it today to take some pictures around campus in my cap/gown/honors regalia.
I know Tanya recommended me an awesome cotton dress, but I found this one at an Armani Exchange (on sale!) in Vegas, and just had to have it. I feel like the skirt length would be office appropriate/I would totally wear this dress again.
REALLY AMAZON?!? I added this to my cart less than twelve hours ago. I was going to buy this as a graduation present to myself when I finished my finals. YOU SUCK!
