my Europtrip (pt 1) pictures are up on facebook. Well over a week since I got back - even though I have no job and no real responcibilities that have kept me from uploading them. oops.
As a kid in Russia, I used to eat red currants by picking them straight off the bush in our Dacha (summerhome). Imagine my delight when I saw them sold in street markets in Frankfurt! win!
also - only 2 euro for 1/2 a kilo!
things I noticed include, but are not limited to:
things I didn’t see much of (of just didn’t notice)
I’ve been in Belfast, Northern Ireland for about 56 hours now and it’s definitely different than what I had expecting. With schoot out, this generally-busy college town is rather similar to Tucson in June… kinna. Here are some adjectives to describe it
clearly this whole “northern ireland being cold thing” is frightening me as an Arizonan :-)
other than that it’s super fun, I’m here with my beau, and I’m learning all about the Troubles and general history/politics of the area. The accents are pretty awesome and buying things in British Pounds makes them seem marginally cheaper.
Paris tomorrow!
