this modcloth necklace if off the chain (so to speak). Imagine rocking this with a belted cardigan and skinny corduroy jeans in the early fall…
Tatiana styled the prettiest graduation outfit for me! It’ll look great with my navy blue robe in May :-)
Style Me! by mikhailovna
Alla wrote in and asked me to create a more affordable version of this outfit as well as one that would withstand Arizona’s heat in the summer. Here’s what I put together:
- Dress - American Eagle*
- Earrings - Target
- Ring - Target
- Shoes - Aldo
- Bag - Bamboo 54
- Headband - Forever 21
I know you will look stunning in this!
Enjoy darling!
*This dress is only $16 right now and comes in pink as well!
Chocolate-Covered Caramelized Matzoh Crunch
4 to 6 sheets unsalted matzohs
1 cup (230g) unsalted butter, cut into chunks
1 cup (215g) firmly-packed light brown sugar
big pinch of sea salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup (160g) semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup (80g) toasted sliced almonds (optional)Line a rimmed baking sheet (approximately 11 x 17”, 28 x 42cm) completely with foil, making sure the foil goes up and over the edges. Cover the foil with a sheet of parchment paper. Preheat the oven to 375F (190C). Line the bottom of the sheet with matzoh, breaking extra pieces as necessary to fill in any spaces. In a 3-4 quart (3-4l) heavy duty saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar together, and cook over medium heat, stirring, until the butter is melted and the mixture is beginning to boil. Boil for 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, add the salt and vanilla, and pour over matzoh, spreading with a heatproof spatula. Put the pan in the oven and reduce the heat to 350F (175C) degrees. Bake for 15 minutes. As it bakes, it will bubble up but make sure it’s not burning every once in a while. If it is in spots, remove from oven and reduce the heat to 325F (160C), then replace the pan. Remove from oven and immediately cover with chocolate chips. Let stand 5 minutes, then spread with an offset spatula. If you wish, sprinkle with toasted almonds. Let cool completely, the break into pieces and store in an airtight container until ready to serve.

this may appear to be just a straw fedora, but it isn’t. it is a straw fedora created by eugenia kim for her first target collaboration. i know, i peed a little bit, too.
the collection debuts in stores next month and prices should be around one-tenth of kim’s usual. according to the designer, her ideal customer is “a quirky, left-of-center girl in her twenties or thirties with a sense of humor.” that’s me! i am quirky and left-of-center and in my twenties! i can’t wait to see more.
WANT. NEED!?!
I’m on the hunt for a graduation dress and am hoping shopping in Vegas over Spring Break yields some positive results.
This dress is pretty spectacular .. but my robe is a shiny navy blue - so it won’t work. But it’s it just soooo pretty? (via fred flare)
Let’s talk about this cuff for a second.
First - it looks super chic, and would definitely belong under Jenna’s Pics on the J Crew website. I mean, it’s got ribbon, pearls, and rhinestones.
Second - it’s only $9.80 at Forever 21. Seriously. People need to buy this thing asap. Even with shipping it’s still cheaper than anything on from J.crew/ann taylor/other moderately classy retailers
I have been waiting and waiting for the liberty of london for target collection to be revealed. the housewares are pretty snazzy, but i am really looking forward to scooping up the dresses. the classic floral prints will do well in my wardrobe.
prices range from $3.99 for a girls’ headband set to $199.99 for a bicycle and feature 25 of infamous prints. they land in select stores on march 12th.
I’m INTERESTED in a big way!
Marc By Marc Jacobs dress. On sale. So prettyyyyyyy!
Sometimes I wish I wasn’t a poor college student about to spend 60+ grand on law school .. because then something like this could potentnialy be a possiblity…
I’m just saying - if someone loved me they would get this for me for college graduation
